Lots of 'ahh's in this chapter. I italicize them to indicate that they're Japanese 'ahh's, which are meant to indicate agreement in a dignified kind of way, as opposed to English 'ahh's, which indicate hesitation. (If you don't already know, that's how I indicate all Japanese vocalizations: with italics.)
